Frequently Asked Questions

How do I prepare for a sauna?

A good sauna bath will make you sweat a great deal. It’s good sauna etiquette to be clean when you go in the sauna so that sweat is coming from a fresh, clean body. You should also ensure that you are well hydrated and bring extra water and your own towel to sit on in the sauna.

How should I use my sauna session?

Trust your body and when you start to feel too hot, go outside, take a break, cool down in the air or water and then come back for another go. Most people tend to enjoy 10-15 minutes of sauna time before cooling down and enjoying another 2 rounds of sauna.

How do you keep your saunas clean and covid friendly?

We ask our users to bring their own clean towels to sit on during their sauna. Regularly between users, our saunas are ventilated and cleaned in an environmentally friendly way. Additionally, saunas operate at high temperatures (up to around 90C/195F) which provides a semi-sterilising effect in itself.

Are you insured?

Yes, Saunair has £5m public and product liability insurance.

How far will you travel?

We have travelled as far as Surrey so far however we do charge extra for longer trips due to additional costs for our driver’s time/expenses, in addition to our standard 70p/mile charge for each journey.
